Architectural Review Request Form

To help homeowners align with both City of Carmel requirements and our neighborhood’s restrictive covenants, certain exterior projects must be reviewed and approved by the HOA before work begins. This form serves as a simple checkpoint to ensure any required city permits and HOA approvals are in place—helping you avoid delays, issues, or potential stop-work orders.

Common projects that require review include:

  • Fences, which need a city permit for new installations or repairs.
  • Additions or detached structures over 120 sq. ft., such as large utility sheds or other accessories buildings. These often require a city permit and HOA review to confirm proper placement, setbacks, drainage, and overall alignment with community standards.

Not all projects require review. To determine whether yours does, please consult the FAQs.

If your project does require approval, complete and submit the form below. All submissions are reviewed by a designated group within the HOA Board. Requests are processed in the order they are received and typically reviewed within 15 days.
